Bill Durnan , officially named William Ronald Durnan , was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender born in Toronto on January 22, 1916 . He held Canadian citizenship and played for the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League (NHL) for seven seasons . Bill Durnan's spouse was Mandy Durnan .
