Bay Bridge Bio was founded in 2017 in Berkeley, California. Bay Bridge Bio creates content and programs to help biology and bioengineering graduate students and postdocs learn about biotech startups and venture capital, with a focus on biotherapeutics.
The Venture Testing Lab is a 10-week program that connects graduate students and postdocs with venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to explore emerging technology and test venture hypotheses. The program has two components: a weekly lecture and guest speaker series, and a project where teams develop and test startup ideas. Teams meet with a different investor every 1-2 weeks to get feedback on their project. The program is open to graduate students and postdocs in biology and bioengineering programs at Stanford, UC Berkeley and UCSF.
