Bardeen is an artificial intelligence (AI) company that creates a workflow automation tool that operates in one's internet browser. The San Francisco-based company was cofounded in 2020 by Pascal Weinberger and Artem Harutyunyan, who serve as Bardeen's CEO and CTO, respectively. The company is named after two-time Nobel Prize-winning physicist John Bardeen, who was co-inventor of the transistor.
Bardeen allows users to automate manual tasks through its browser extension. Bardeen's extension uses AI to scan the contents of and extract information from a user's page and build automations sans coding. The company advertises that its extension improves efficiency by not making users switch between multiple apps or programs. Bardeen also features preset integrations with popular online tools, including Airtable, ChatGPT, Google Sheets, Notion, Slack, and Trello.
Bardeen also enables users to create custom workflows through the extension's Magic Box feature, which lets users select from a list of pre-built actions that can be dragged and dropped onto a canvas and connected in the desired sequence. While Bardeen is free to use for individual users and small teams, the company also offers a professional tier that starts at $10 a month and increases depending on the number of credits desired.
