Baotris

Baotris is a technology company providing workflow automation technology for marketing. The company was founded in 2019 by John Cheng, Michael Birk, and Angelo Ferro.

Before founding Boatris in 2019, John Cheng completed a bachelor of science degree in business at the University of California, Berkeley and a master of business administration specializing in finance and marketing at the Kellog School of Management. He was also the co-founder and chief product officer of Playnomics. Playnomics would later be acquired by Unity Technologies where John Cheng served as a general manager after the acquisition of his company.

Before founding Baotris in 2019, Michael Birk completed a bachelor of science degree in computer science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne and a master of science degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He moved from a Software Engineering Manager to Director of Engineering to Principal Architect at Scribd between 2009 and 2013 before joining John Cheng at Playnomics as the Sr. Director of Engineering. When Playnomics was acquired, Michael became the Director of Engineering for the Analytics team at Unity Technologies.

Before founding Baotris in 2019, Angelo Ferro completed a bachelor of arts degree in economics at the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor of science degree in business administration at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. He was also a research associate the Cornerstone Research, the global director of business development for Unity Technologies, and the senior business development manager for Unity Technologies.
