In 1992, the plant mastered the repair of the Mi-8 helicopter, in 1993 - the Mi-2 helicopter.

EstablishmentOn September of5, 1931, aircraft repair workshops were established in Zaporozhye, aswhich awere part of the 18th aviation brigade of the Ukrainian military district. The first aircraft repaired here were TB-3 bombers.

In 1940, the unit was reassigned to the Odessa Military District and renamed the 16th Stationary Aviation Workshops (16th SAM).

In 1946, the aircraft workshops were renamed into the 224th aviation repair base (224 ARB) with deployment in the town of Konotop.

In 1959-1960, the overhaul of aircraft engines was mastered at the aircraft repair base. The first type of aircraft engine, the overhaul of which was mastered by the plant, was the NK-12 aircraft engine for the An-22.

In 1963, the 224th aircraft repair base was transformed into the 535th aircraft repair plant of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR.

In 1964, the plant began to master the repair of helicopters of the Mi family, this year the overhaul of the Mi-6 helicopter was mastered.

By 1970, the plant had mastered the overhaul of the Mi-6, Mi-10 helicopters and their modifications.

In 1976, the plant mastered the overhaul of Mi-24 combat helicopters.

In 1989, the plant mastered the repair of the Mi-26 helicopter.
