Anvil Biosciences

Anvil Biosciences is a company that uses nucleic acid gene expression platforms to allow the patient's own cells to generate therapeutic proteins and biologics for treating rare autoimmune diseases. Its lead products include ANV-103, which is used to treat non-infectious autoimmune uveitis, a rare inflammatory disease that affects the posterior segments of the eye; and NV-201, which is used to treat Neuromyelitis Optica, a rare neuro-inflammatory disease that affects the spinal cord and optic nerve.

Anvil Biosciences received NIH/NEI SBIR grant for ocular inflammation project and NIH/NIAID SBIR grant for neuro-inflammation project.
