The Allen Institute for AI (AI2) aims to contribute to humanity through high-impact AI research and engineering. AI2 was created by Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft and is led by Dr. Oren Etzioni.
AI2 has partnered with research groups to distribute the COVID-19 Open Research Dataset (CORD-19), a free resource of more than 44,000 scholarly articles about COVID-19 and the coronavirus family of viruses. The dataset is intended for researchers to apply natural language processing to generate new insights that support the fight against COVID-19. There will be weekly updates on the dataset as research is published in peer-reviewed publications and archival services. The dataset can be accessed through CORD-19 Explorer or downloaded as a complete set.
