Allah (Arabic الله Sound [ʔalˤːɑːh], lit. “God”) is an Arabic word meaning the One and only God, the creator of the world and the Lord of the Day of Judgment. In Islam, God sent his final messenger (rasul) Muhammad to the people. In pre-Islamic Arabia, Allah was the supreme Deity and the Creator of all things. The short form of the Islamic creed (shahada) reads: “There is no other deity but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah!”.
