Aragonese monarch
Alfonso II of Aragon was born in Huesca in March 1157. He was a citizen of the Crown of Aragon, and had multiple occupations such as a troubadour, poet, composer, and politician. He was the founder of the Crown of Aragon and was an instance of a person.
Alfonso's father was Ramon Berenguer IV, Count of Barcelona, and his mother was Petronilla of Aragon. Alfonso had at least three children: Peter II of Aragon, Alfonso II, Count of Provence, and Constance of Aragon. He was the father of Peter II of Aragon.
He died in Perpignan on April 25, 1196.
