ZoomInfo announced the acquisition of Chorus.ai, a conversational sales intelligence tool. This tool uses artificial intelligence to listen to sales conversations and work to improve sales interactions, which will be added to ZoomInfo's tools for providing information about customers and extend ZoomInfo's platforms capabilities.
Previous to the transaction, ZoomInfo was valued at under $21 billion. After the purchase, ZoomInfo's total market was expected to expand to $70 billion, with the growth expected to happen immediately.
According to founder and CEO of ZoomInfo, the company is expected to be capable of marrying go-to-market applications with a data layer, and adding Chorus.ai can expand the company's ability to provide a more expansive go-to-market platform that combines data management and intelligence.
Meanwhile, CEO of Chorus.ai, Jim Benton, has said the company is excited to join ZoomInfo and bring the company's artificial intelligence tools the ZoomInfo's platform. Furthermore, Jim Benton was announced to be joining ZoomInfo as a Senior Vice President of Emerging products following the acquisition.
