ATC-NY’s CYRIN Cyber Training Suite provides an effective training environment with accurate monitoring. CYRIN provides trainees with virtualized instances of exercises to provide a realistic and safe environment, so that attacks can be simulated without compromising the integrity of the system. CYRIN enables the instructor to observe the trainee’s progress through an automated monitoring system implemented via deployable agents, which allows them to track multiple students’ progress. Automated monitoring also ensures that the instructor does not have to monitor the exercise execution in real time. We will adapt and enhance CYRIN to meet the needs of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), including moving CYRIN to a FedRAMP-approved cloud provider, integrating CYRIN into AFIT’s Cyber Education Hub, and enhancing CYRIN authoring tools and environment.
