iProov

iProov provides biometric user authentication solutions for companies and organizations using technologies such as facial and palm vein scanning. These solutions can be integrated in systems for the purposes of customer onboarding, authenticating users, or rebinding devices. iProov serves companies and organizations in the following industries:

Genuine Presence Assurance is iProov's user authentication technology used by companies and organizations to authenticate the identity of their customers online. It enables organizations to verify that the individual they are interacting with is real, that they have the right access privileges to the service, and that they are going through the process of authentication in person (as opposed to through a photograph or video, for instance).

The three Genuine Presence Assurance products are Enroller, Face Verifier, and Palm Verifier. All three solutions can confirm whether a user is the right person, a real person, and if they are authenticating in the present moment.

Enroller enables organizations to verify the identity of new customers during the online onboarding process. The Enroller identity verification process involves the following steps:

1. Onboarding begins on a mobile device, a computer, or at a kiosk
2. The user scans a government-approved photo ID
3. The user undergoes a facial scan
4. The one-time biometric is analyzed in the cloud-based system
5. If genuine presence is assured, onboarding can be completed

Face Verifier has the capability of authenticating a remote user’s face against a pre-enrolled biometric template. It can be used as a primary authentication mode or as part of a multi-factor or step-up authentication.

Palm Verifier provides Genuine Presence Assurance, confirming that a user is the right person, a real person, and authenticating right now. A contactless solution, it is hygienic, simple to use, and highly secure. It also requires no specialist hardware. The Palm Verifier solution involves the following authentication steps:

• The user places their palm above or in front of the device
• The device displays an abstract for alignment/privacy
• Once the palm is appropriately oriented, a palm vein scan is captured
• The captured palm vein image is matched and analyzed in the cloud system
• Protection against various forms of palm spoofing attacks is provided
• If the user passes verification, access to the service is granted

iProov's Genuine presence assurance can be used in onboarding processes, such as opening a bank account, applying for a visa, accessing health records, applying for college, or registering to a social network.

Once a customer or citizen has onboarded, the ongoing authentication process can take the form of multi-factor or step-up authentication for everyday log-on in cases where extra security is required.

iProov's technology uses facial biometrics to help users rebind mobile devices to existing accounts when they are lost, stolen, or damaged.
