Yuri Stoyanov

Yuri was born July 10, 1957 in Odessa, as a child he moved under Odessa to the village of Borodino. Mother is Russian, Yevgenia Leonidovna Stoyanova (born June 21, 1935), worked as deputy director for educational work, director of a pedagogical college and taught Ukrainian language and literature, honored worker of education of Ukraine. He lives in Odessa. Father — Bulgarian, Nikolai Georgievich Stoyanov worked as a gynecologist, died in 1993.

In 1974 he entered the GITIS - Russian Institute of Theatre Arts. After graduation in 1978, he played at the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater, where he worked as an actor until 1995.

Yuri began his career with filming in the comic magazine Yeralash. For several years he played mainly episodic roles. On the set of the comedy "Anecdotes" Stoyanov met actor Ilya Oleynikov, and both actors agreed that they were capable of more than playing episodic roles. This creative union led to the fact that in the spring of 1993 the television series "Gorodok" appeared on the screens. In these 2 men shows the female characters are usually, if not always, performed by Stoyanov. Both programs have the cult followings. Both of these actors, still poorly known to the general public, became its permanent authors, as well as the performers of the roles of all the characters. Stoyanov and Oleynikov appeared on the air for almost twenty years, showing the life of the "Gorodok" and its inhabitants. The shooting of the program continued until Oleynikov was broken by a serious illness.

Stoyanov was married three times, from his first marriage he has two sons - Nikolai and Alexei, both work as television journalists. From his third marriage, he has a daughter, Catherine, and two stepdaughters.

In 2021 Yuri Stoyanov released his first music album "Somewhere", which included 11 romances. He wrote almost all the compositions himself. Stoyanov composed some of the songs in his youth, some during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the artist, he dedicated the album to his third wife - Elena, friend and colleague on the program "Gorodok" Ilya Oleinikov, as well as daughters, mother and friends.
