Voyage Auto is a technology company building products for enabling the autonomous operation of self-driving vehicles that is headquartered in Palo Alto, California and was founded in 2017 by MacCallister Higgins and Oliver Cameron.
Initially Voyage Auto began offering self driving cars for door to door travel within retirement communities with speeds up to 25 mph. The self driving service was initially offered in retirement communities found in San Jose, California and Central Florida.
In 2017 Voyage Auto completed a series A funding round with $20 million in funding from undisclosed investors. The company used the funding to expand its autonomous vehicles services in into Orlando, Florida.
On July 25, 2018 Voyage Auto announced raising $3 million in series A - II funding from the venture arm of Intact Insurance. The company also announced a partnership agreement with Intact Insurance that will allow Intact Insurance to collect data generated by Voyage Auto vehicles to adjust insurance premiums based on the data.
On September 12, 2019 Voyage Auto completed their series B funding round with $31 million in funding from Franklin Templeton Investments (lead investor), Khosla Ventures, Jaguar Land-Rover’s InMotion Ventures, and Chevron Technology Ventures. the company plans on using the funding to develop its self driving technology, expand its fleet of G2 self driving cars, and launch its G3 vehicle. After receiving their series B funding to company made the following public statement:

This capability has been enhanced by recent accomplishments of our engineers, such as transitioning to a safety-critical and certifiable middleware, shipping a brand new prediction engine with an over 10x performance improvement, and creating triple redundancy in our perception system. This capital will take us to the next level, enabling us to commercialize safe, self-driving technology within and outside these communities.
