Five-door, compact-class hatchback produced by Swedish premium automaker Volvo Cars. It was first presented at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. It replaced the Volvo S40 sedan, Volvo V50 station wagon and Volvo C30 coupe. Sales in Europe began in 2012.
The Volvo V40 is the last car designed by Peter Horbury's team. Now he's gone to work as a designer at Geely.
