Virgil van Dijk

Van Dijk had a bad relationship with football at first. According to his recollections, as a child, the athlete was very slow and small. The first football club that Virgil entered was Willem II. He tried his hand at the right flank of the defense, but after several unsuccessful matches, the guy was practically kicked out of the team. Soon the genes took their toll, the novice athlete matured and grew up (now his height is 193 cm and his weight is 92 kg), after which he was offered his first professional contract in 2011 with the Groningen club.
