Public Joint Stock Company Transneft (until July 21, 2016 - Open Joint Stock Company Transneft Oil Transportation Joint Stock Company) was established by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated August 14, 1993 No. 810 in pursuance of Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated November 17, 1992 No. 1403 The founder is the Government of the Russian Federation. OAO AK Transneft was registered by the Moscow Registration Chamber on August 26, 1993, certificate No. 026.800

Main activities:

1.Provision of services in the field of transportation of oil and oil products through the system of main pipelines in the Russian Federation and beyond;

2.Carrying out preventive, diagnostic and emergency recovery work on main pipelines;

3.Coordination of activities for the integrated development of the network of main pipelines and other pipeline transport facilities;

4.Interaction with pipeline enterprises of other states on the issues of transportation of oil and oil products in accordance with intergovernmental agreements;

5.Participation in solving problems of scientific, technical and innovative development in pipeline transport, introduction of new equipment, technologies and materials;

6.Attraction of investments for the development of the production base, expansion and reconstruction of facilities of the organizations of the system of PJSC Transneft;

7.Organization of work to ensure environmental protection in the areas where pipeline transport facilities are located.

PJSC Transneft is a natural monopoly entity, 100% of the company's voting shares are in federal ownership.

The authorized capital of the Company is 7,249,343 (seven million two hundred and forty nine thousand three hundred and forty three) rubles.
