The company now insures more cars and homes than any other insurer in the U.S. Established as a mutual company, State Farm is (as of 2019) ranked number 36 on the Fortune 500 list of largest companies.
Originally a single-line auto insurance company, State Farm now offers approximately 100 products and services across five different lines of business and handles nearly 39,000 claims per day.
