Mikita was sharp-tongued. When he finished his career as a player, one of the journalists asked him what he liked most during his performances in the NHL. "Salary," Stan replied. Then the reporter asked what he liked the least. "The size of the salary," Mikita responded. "What has changed since you finished playing?" — the representative of the press asked the last question. "The size of the salary," summed up the former Chicago striker.
