SRI Capital is an early-stage venture capital investment firm that focuses on funding innovative startups primarily in India and the United States. The firm was founded in 2011 and is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
SRI Capital's three main areas of interest are: (1) Enterprise software and deep technology: they are interested in Indian and United States startups developing applications and technology for sale to the United States enterprise and/or SME market, preferably in a subscription model with built-in scalability for rapid growth. They like capital efficient product development teams, led by technology founders serving niche market segments. (2) Indian consumer market: Indian startups that are looking to capitalize on the Digital India story to bring innovative products and services to middle income Indian consumers are interesting to them. They especially like startups that fully leverage India Stack. (3) Cross-border innovation to serve the Indian consumer market: They realize that there is terrific IP and technology in the Nordics, Israel, and elsewhere. Given their deep ties to India and their networks there, they would love to fund startups that are well positioned to serve the Indian consumer market.
