Right Treat is a food technology company founded in 2018 founded by David Yeung operating out of Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong. Right Treat makes plant-based meat alternative products.
According to the Founder of Right Treat, David Yeung, he created Right Treat with the following philosophy in mind: “The philosophy behind Right Treat is that we believe achieving long-term win-win-win among the planet, mankind and animals is possible. There should be no trade-off between food enjoyment and personal well-being. Consumption and enjoyment of this generation should not become liability and suffering of future generations and other beings.”
On April 19, 2018, Right Treat officially launched their first product, Omnipork. Omnipork is a plant-based pork alternative made out of non-GMO soybeans, peas, shiitake mushrooms, and rice proteins. Omnipork has a complete essential amino acid profile and is free of cholesterol, antibiotics, and hormones. Omnipork is higher in fiber, calcium, and iron, and lower in saturated fat and calories than ground pork. According to Right Treat, Omnipork has 71% less saturated fat, 62% less calories, 233% more calcium, 53% more iron, 68mg less cholesterol, and 4.5g more fiber per 100g serving compared to ground pork.
