The firm has invested directly in Bitcoin. In addition to direct investments in Bitcoin, Ribbit has financed five Bitcoin companies. Other notable investments include Robinhood, Battery Ventures, Cross River Bank, Lending Home, and Root.In 2018, United Kingdom-based unicorn start-up Revolut raised $1.7 billion with investment contributions from venture capital firms including Ribbit.
Ribbit Capital has raised five funds as of 2019. There was a $100 million fund in 2013, a $125 million fund in 2014 and a $226 million fund in 2015, a $300 million fund in 2017, and a $420 million fund in 2018.
