ReadId

ReadId is a software company offering a platform for mobile identity verification using NFC technology that is headquartered in Enshede, Netherland and was founded in 2013 by Innovalor. Notalbe customers of RealID include: CBR, ING, SK, Politie, DNB, and Rabobank. RealID offers their identity verification services primarily in two ways, online identity verification and face-to-face identity verification.

RealID works by users scanning their Machine Readable Zones of their passports, or other identity cards/documents, using their smartphone and scanning their identity verification documents using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology found in their smartphones.

The RealID platform can verify the identity of people using their smartphone and ID documents to help prevent identity fraud and enable trustworthy digital services. It can be used for online self-service identity verification for customers on-boarding or other purposes where the customers identity needs to be known such as in banking, trust service providers, and governments.
