Random House is a company in the publishing industry, founded on January 1, 1927, by Bennett Cerf. The company has its headquarters in Random House Tower, New York City. As a joint-stock company, the parent organization of Random House is Penguin Random House, which is owned by Bertelsmann.

Random House operates under various subsidiaries, including Crown Publishing Group, Heyne Verlag, Albrecht Knaus Verlag, Western Publishing, The Bodley Head, Goldmann (publisher), and Prestel Publishing. The company is also involved in the comic book industry through its ownership of BBC Books, Gold Key Comics, and Bantam Books.

Alberto Vitale is a former CEO of Random House. Some of the company's other subsidiaries include Figment (website) and Bantam Books.
