Protos Cryptocurrency Asset Management is a financial services company with headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland as well as Vancouver, Canada. Protos is a data-drive cryptocurrency hedge fund focused exclusively on investments in digital assets.
The three co-founders of Protos - Matthew Shaw, Philipp Kallerhoff, and Thomas Kineshanko - have prior experience with founding and growing tech startups including mCloud Corp, Walkmore, and Greentech Exchange (GTEx). The three have managed over $1 billion in funds, with Protos being their third vehicle investing in cryptocurrency.
As part of their research-based approach to investment risk management, Protos created protosterminal, a publicly available database tracking the top 100 market cap cryptocurrencies with data on prices, trade volume, market cap, transaction volume, active addresses, 7-day returns, and annual volatility.
