Ofra Cosmetics

Ofra Cosmetics, stylized as OFRA Cosmetics, is a cosmetics and skin care brand based in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Ofra Gaito, the founder of OFRA Cosmetics, entered the beauty industry in 1979 and completed several courses with cosmetic brands in Germany, France, and the United States. Gaito also earned her postgraduate, the CIDESCO course in Johannesburg, which is a certification in the field of Esthetics and Beauty Therapy. Throughout the 1980s, Gaito opened her first salons and spas, which lead to her expanding business to include product distribution for European cosmetic companies in South Africa, Australia, and Ukraine. By 1994, Gaito created her own line of skin care products, which is the root of the brand, then added makeup products to sell in the U.S. and in other countries. The company creates and sells a variety of products for eyes, face, and lips. All are sold individually and some are included in collections. She relocated to the United States in 1998 to open manufacturing facilities in Pompano Beach.

In 2017, OFRA partnered with Ulta Beauty to offer its products on Ulta's website and in their physical stores. OFRA decided to rebrand the same year, although they did not change any of their formulas.

OFRA Cosmetics is certified by PETA and Leaping Bunny as cruelty-free and vegan for their products that are sold both nationally and internationally. The company also does not sell their products in places where animal testing is required.
