OQ Technology is a global satellite constellation dedicated for 5G IoT communication. The company serves the oil and gas, maritime, industry, consumer IoT, and transport segments. European Space Agency Space Contract

OQ Technology signed a contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) as part of the Luxembourg National Space program for the in-orbit pathfinder mission (MACSAT). The contract aims to develop space partnerships and involves the development of a 6U nanosatellite, an advanced flight payload, and user terminals. As per the contract, OQ Technology will manage and operate the mission, develop and test in lab and in orbit of satellite-based narrowband IoT software and algorithms, and develop the payload and user hardware. OQ Technology is also responsible for installing a ground station in Luxembourg to run its spacecraft flight operations.

MACSAT Feasibility Study

OQ Technology performed a detailed study on the system design of a global satellite system dedicated for Machine2Machine communication. The technology was developed to meet the demands of IoT & M2M communication requirements. The study also included an analysis of the M2M and IoT markets and target business models that allow such a technology to be implemented as a product and service.

MACSAT In-Orbit Demonstration Mission

OQ Technology was a contractor for the MACSAT IOD mission, where the company designed, implemented, and built a satellite in order to demonstrate its IoT technology in both payload and user terminals.

TIGER-1 Mission

OQ Technology tested NB-IoT over two LEO Cubesats; the mission was a technology proof of the feasibility of cellular IoT over LEO satellites and tested the developed transceiver algorithms developed by OQ.

Smart Automatic Model Based Architecture

The project aimed to create a set of agile software tools implemented in the core artificial intelligence techniques and cognitive algorithms to support engineers in product design or processes in a modular framework. The software can also be used to manage the IoT networks. The software's main objective is to produce engineering test plans and routines with minimal human intervention, and OQ technology suggests the software can save up to 70 percent of the cost and time needed for development.
