Michelle Bailhe is a partner at Sequoia Capital on the growth team. She joined the firm in 2020 and focuses on investments in crypto as well as fintech, enterprise software, consumer, gaming, and biotech. She works closely with FTX, Fireblocks, and Pilot. She is also working with Getir and partnered with LayerZero Labs in 2022.
Bailhe started her career at McKinsey & Company in the fall of 2015 as a business analyst. During her three years with the firm, she was promoted to engagement manager and worked across strategy, mergers & acquisitions, advanced analytics, and operations. While there, she worked with clients in healthcare, renewable energy, technology, and the public and social sectors.
After McKinsey & Company, Bailhe spent a year with Google. There, she helped lead a team of engineers and designers in the Google Creative Lab to incubate new features and products in e-commerce, search, Maps, Lens, YouTube, Stadia, Assistant, and audio AI and ML apps. Her team also built and launched AI and ML experiments to inspire the developer community, especially in Tensorflow, Tensorflow.js, PoseNet, and Dialogflow communities.
In 2019, before joining McKinsey & Company, Bailhe spent a year as a private equity associate with Hellman & Friedman and as a board observer at Allied Systems on behalf of Hellman & Friedman.
Bailhe graduated from Brown University in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Human Biology. She was a Rhodes Scholarship nominee and delivered the graduating keynote speech in 2015.
