The helicopter is intended for:

1. transportation of goods on an external sling or inside a cargo compartment weighing up to 20 tons, simultaneous transportation in a hot-sleeve and on an external sling with a total weight of not more than 20 tons is allowed.
2. transportation of the sick or wounded, with the provision of care for them, for which the helicopter is equipped with appropriate equipment
3. transportation of 82 paratroopers with weapons and equipment
