Fredrik Hasselqvist (1722-1752) was a Swedish biologist born in Linköping on January 3, 1722. He held citizenship in Sweden and studied at Uppsala University. Hasselqvist's occupation was that of a biologist and he was mentored by doctoral advisor Carl Linnaeus.
Fredrik Hasselqvist passed away in İzmir on February 9, 1752. Throughout his life, he made a considerable contribution to the field of biology as a passionate researcher and scholar.
