Flock Safety

Flock Safety

Flock Safety is a company developing wireless security systems for neighborhoods founded in 2017 by Garrett Langley.

Flock Safety is a video surveillance and security company based in Atlanta, Georgia. The company has developed security cameras that capture images while the companies patented AI machine learning component identifies a vehicle's information, specifically the license plate, make, model, and color of the car. The software, called Vehicle FingerprintTM, then stores the license plate numbers to keep a record of all vehicles that have traveled past a business, home, or other property.

The company builds outdoor camera hardware built to withstand the weather. The machine-learning software is capable of assisting police in the event of a crime that has occurred in a neighborhood. It also proactively reports stolen vehicles to authorities after the time of photo capture through data-forwarding technology.

Wing

WingTM is a Flock Safety integration that was announced in October of 2020. The integration puts software on existing IP cameras to distill footage into searchable images to help solve crimes. Wing allows police to use the Vehicle FingerprintTM technology on existing cameras as well. Flock Safety's products have assisted police in solving numerous types of crime, including a kidnapping, the arrest of a murder suspect, the arrest of a drive-by shooter, and a number of burglaries.
