FC Rubin Kazan is a professional football club based in Kazan, Russia, founded in 1958. Rubin played its first season in the top-flight in 2003. It has remained there ever since, winning the championship twice in 2008 and 2009. The club also won the 2011-12 Russian Cup and was present in European competitions.
