Established in 2006 and acquired by Ericsson in 2020, Cradlepoint operates as a standalone subsidiary within Ericsson’s Business Area Technologies. The company is headquartered in Boise, Idaho, and has development centers in Silicon Valley and India and offices located in the UK and Australia.

Cradlepoint offers NetCloud—a cloud-based subscription service combining cloud management, software-defined networking, and unified edge security with LTE and 5G cellular networking technology in order to power a portfolio of wireless edge routers and adapters.

• zero-touch deployment: zero-touch deployment automatically connects, licenses, configures, and chooses the ideal carrier to streamline the setup of Wireless WAN edge solutions
• policy-based control: NetCloud facilitates the configuration of networks with the ability to route traffic based on bandwidth usage, application content, cellular data usage, or preferred link
• SD-WAN for wireless
• full-stack analytics: insight is offered into applications, network health, and security data via analytics. It is available in dashboards and via actionable alerts for organizations to assess their Wireless WAN, applications, and network usage
• mobile application: The NetCloud management features can be accessed from a phone or tablet. The interface offers access to troubleshooting, security events, alerts, and reports
• lifecycle management: NetCloud streamlines network management as regards applying licenses, identifying and pushing out software updates, upgrading software feature sets, amassing education tools, and connecting with other customers.
