ColdQuanta Inc is a quantum atomics company offering a range of component-level and system-level products for cold and ultracold atom experimental setups. Founded in 2007, ColdQuanta grew from the research of Professor Dana Anderson. The company is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado with offices in Madison, Wisconsin and Oxford, UK
In July 2018, ColdQuanta raised $6.8M from a seed round. In 2019 raised $10M additional seed round equity financing and received a $2.8M grant from the U.S. government to advance Quantum Core technology and drive further development of quantum sensors, atomic clocks, and quantum communication systems . ColdQuanta's investors are Maverick Ventures and Global Frontier Investments.
ColdQuanta leverages Quantum Core™ technology to manipulate and control ultracold atoms. Based on this technology the company manufactures components, instruments, and systems that address a range of applications including timekeeping, navigation, quantum computing, radiofrequency (RF) receivers, and quantum communications systems.
Global customers include commercial and defense companies, branches of the U.S. Department of Defense, national labs operated by the Department of Energy, NASA, NIST, and major universities.
