Celo Camp

Celo Camp is a virtual incubation plus mentorship program supporting decentralized technology entrepreneurs building on Celo. It runs for eight weeks. Celo is a blockchain that facilitates peer-to-peer payments utilizing mobile numbers. It is Ethereum-compatible, with a multi-asset system featuring a governance and staking asset (CELO), as well as an array of stablecoins like cUSD and cEUR. Since the 2020 launch of mainnet, Celo’s network supports projects from developers and artists, is involved in the creation of applications, and issues various digital currencies. It is supported by organizations and individuals, such as Jack Dorsey, a16z, and Deutsche Telekom.

Celo Camp is an eight-week acceleration and mentorship program that takes place online. The camp helps decentralized technology founders, including developers with their businesses. Celo Camp was created and operated by Upright in partnership with the Celo Foundation. It is an entry point for entrepreneurs building on Celo.

Celo Camp's eight-week program is broken into week-based modules, with the first week focused on welcoming users to the camp. The schedule proceeds as follows:

• Week two focuses on user research and product and market fit
• Week three focuses on the user journey
• Week four works to build and integrate the product
• Week five is dedicated to go-to-market
• Week six is focused on launching and acquiring early users
• Week seven is pitch week
• Week eight is a community and idea fair

Each week follows a similar flow, with an entrepreneur module at the beginning of the week, in which attendees receive a weekly growth session with a guest speaker. Then they receive a bi-monthly mentor check-in which involves one-on-one time with the group's mentor for progress checks. The week includes a campfire chat, which offers off-the-record sessions with leaders in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. And the week ends with a prosper session, an optional session focused on personal growth.
