COVID-19
In response to the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), CaroGen and scientists form Yale have launched efforts to work on a vaccine to fight against the virus. The team claims that a foundation for a novel COVID-19 vaccine was established in their laboratory around a decade ago, and hopes to have human clinical studies within months.
A fully developed vaccine can take up to three years to earn approval to be used in patients, however the company believes there will be need for a vaccine in coming years. The company has assisted during other outbreaks including the Zika virus.
