Bionic.ai is an application intelligence platform for enterprises. The software is designed to give businesses control over new and updated applications that are moved into production. Bionic is a fully automated and agentless platform that works across monolithic on-site applications and cloud-based microservices. Bionic states that "applications can be deployed within minutes allowing teams to manage, operate, and protect applications." The Palo Alto, California-based company was founded by Idan Ninyo and Eyal Mamo in May 2019.
Customers of the company have included Chipotle, Ripple, American Family Insurance, Transamerica, JLL, Armis, GSK, and FreddieMac.
Bionic.ai's application security posture management (ASPM) platform offers a look at critical risks that can be exploited in a company's production application. The platform is agentless and can be integrated with applications using standard cloud and vendor APIs, such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, and JFrog.
The platform also allows users to discover and map all application dependencies in order to discover applications across environments—such as pre-production, QA, staging, and production—and allows users to benchmark their application architecture, dependencies, and data flows.
Bionic offers an internal compliance "guardrail" to ensure developers remain within government compliance guidelines. The company works to achieve compliance standards by eliminating team silos, automating the monitoring of application changes, and controlling through Bionic's guardrails.
Bionic uses application mapping and reporting to remove the silos between the security and developer teams. Additionally, Bionic monitors for all changes that could impact security concerns and enforces architectural policies in the CI/CD pipelines.
The cloud modernization solution allows developers and teams to track and identify application barriers concerning the cloud. The automation ensures developers maintain cloud strategy through the CI/CD guardrails while tracking the modernization efforts.
