Bobruisk was occupied by Nazi troops. Then, in July 1941, a battle took place in the area of Bobruisk, which became part of the Battle of Smolensk. The commandant of Bobruisk was the former commandant of the Eagle, Adolf Gaman. Almost all the Jews of the city were killed in the Bobruisk ghetto.
