Avails Medical is a company that develops technologies that are able to detect infections. The company was founded by Meike Herget, Naama Stauber Breckler, Nancy Isaac, Oren Knopfmacher, and Robert Fisher in 2013, in San Francisco, California, United States.

Using bodily fluid to detect infections and indicate in real-time which treatments and drugs will be the most effective. Changing how diagnostics are provided to patients in order to reduce the time it takes for them to get treatments is what their platform has been designed for.

The platform is centered around a digital sensor technology that provides in-vitro diagnostic processes in one device. The device provides data regarding the microorganism metabolism which allows users to read in real-time the pathogen quantification and AST in human specimens.

Patients and users are introduced to a process that includes testing for a positive blood culture, allowing the platform to rapidly identify specific organisms from the PBC from which a subculture is created. Then antibiotic susceptibility testing can be introduced to the process if equipment is at disposal. Finally a therapy or treatments can be administered to the patient.
