Arctic7

Arctic7 is a video game developer based in Austin, Texas. It was founded by a trio of former EA developers Igor Efremov, Mark Rizzo, Alan Van Slyke.

On February 16, 2022, it was announced that Igor Efremov, Mark Rizzo, and Alan Van Slyke; a trio of former EA developers had left to form their own studio Arctic7. The headquarters to be located in Austin Texas. A month later, Arctic had secured a $2 million seed round of investment led by VC firm Grishin Robotics to fund the AAA vision. The company then opened a new development studio in Montenegro in June 2022. Choosing former Sperasoft production director, Kedhrin Gonzalez to be the new studio head.In March 2023, The company appointed John Burns as chief commercial officer and Felix Jorge as chief communication officer. Later that month it had acquired two studios; Star Fort Games and Narwhal Studios with the aim to expand business operations in gaming and into media production. Few months later in August, the company announced another studio opening this time in Barcelona, Spain.
