Apron Network

The Substrate Builders Program aims to “identify, support, and mentor substrate-based projects that are building impactful chains, whether they are building a solo chain, parachain, bridged chain or parathread.” It also gives developers the opportunity to use Parity’s extensive resources and expertise. Not only by being a receipt of web3 Open Grants Milestone, but by building our platform and tech in a way that will help the overall Polkadot ecosystem. We are excited to say we are closer now to this goal as Apron Network has been accepted into Parity’s Substrate Builders Program.

After a few months preparing for the materials and interviews, Apron has been approved to ride on the journey with other noteworthy projects such as Litentry, Kylin, Equilibrium (Can be found here).

During the duration of the program, Parity will assist the Apron Network team in different aspects including:

Technical Updates:

Communicate technical details with SBP and promote M2 review

Try web service code based on another asynchronous framework, Tokio, to verify the possibility of replacing an existing framework. If possible, this can significantly reduce the problems in your code due to different asynchronous frameworks

Design the statistical format of charging data, the way of saving and the related logic of charging

Implement and debug upload direction traffic statistics

Debug the validity verification of billing data and the logic to prevent data conflicts

Debug regular generation of user use report code logic, to be completed after IPFS interface debugging docking

Debug the prototype code for storing data using Infura IPFS and familiarize yourself with the relevant APIS

Continue to contact SBP for advice on the M2 review
