Biography
Anastasia Zavorotnyuk (according to her passport, from 1999 to 2017 she bore the surname of her husband Stryukov) was born on April 3, 1971 in Astrakhan. Mother - People's Artist of Russia Valentina Borisovna Zavorotnyuk, worked in the Astrakhan Youth Theater. Father - Yuri Andreevich Zavorotnyuk (09.01.1945 - 01.10.2014), TV director, member of the Academy of Russian Television. The elder brother Svyatoslav worked as a director of editing in Astrakhan, died of peritonitis at the age of 52.
Since early childhood, Anastasia decided to play in the theater and stubbornly aspired to her dream: in her free time she studied music and dance, participated in the dance ensemble "Lotus".
Graduated from the children's music School No. 1 in Astrakhan.
In 1988-1989, she studied at the Faculty of History of the Astrakhan State Pedagogical Institute, but dropped out and entered the Moscow Art Theater Studio School (the course of Avangard Nikolaevich Leontiev). In 1991, the first film with her participation was released — "Masha" by Tamara Pavlyuchenko based on the novel of the same name by Vladimir Nabokov).
In 1993, Zavorotnyuk, after graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School, became an actress of the studio theater under the direction of Oleg Tabakov and for ten years of work in the theater, she played in 29 performances.
In the same 1993, in addition to working in the theater, Zavorotnyuk voiced the character Christopher Robin from the animated series "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh", and also played the role of a priest's daughter in Vladimir Lyubomudrov's drama "The Heir", however, due to financial problems, the film was released only in 2002, remaining almost unnoticed.
The actress was widely known for the series "My Beautiful Nanny", in which she got into by pure chance: she just got a call and was offered a role in a series that she had no idea about. The characteristic Ukrainian accent was borrowed from her colleague in the theater — Olga Blok-Mirimskaya.
In 2007, director Georgy Jungwald-Khilkevich approved Anastasia Zavorotnyuk for the role of d'Artagnan's daughter Jacqueline in his film "The Return of the Musketeers, or the Treasures of Cardinal Mazarin", but the actress refused this project, ostensibly so as not to offend Elizabeth Boyarskaya, who was originally offered this role.
In 2005, Anastasia Zavorotnyuk replaced Tina Kandelaki as the host of the program "Good Songs" on the channel "STS". She led the programs "Kitchen for dummies", "Dancing with the Stars", "Dancing on Ice". The presenter of the "Ice Age" on Channel One together with Marat Basharov (2008), Irina Slutskaya (2009) and Peter Chernyshev (2014). On May 14, 2020, it became known that Anastasia Zavorotnyuk had a malignant neoplasm of the brain. Alexander Makarov, Director of the V. A. Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, told about this during a meeting on the development of genetic technologies with the President of Russia.
