Alex Soto

Previously, Alex was the Executive for Creative Development at Spin Master Entertainment, where he helped oversee Robert Kirkman’s SUPER DINOSAUR for Skybound Entertainment and collaborated on the rebrand of BAKUGAN, along with other shows in production.

Prior to Spin Master, Alex worked with director Guillermo Del Toro on developing an animated version of PACIFIC RIM. He also developed an animated feature at Sony Pictures Animation to direct.

Alex was the Supervising Director for Marvel/Disney XD’s ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN for four seasons, making it the longest-running Marvel animated series to date.

In addition, Alex was Supervising Producer for the first four seasons of Cartoon Network’s mega-hit series BEN 10. He oversaw all of production, along with the show’s marketing campaign and product placement, earning a daytime Emmy nomination for his work. He also directed four seasons of the hit animated series TEEN TITANS for Warner Bros. Animation.

Alex Soto is a showrunner and director/producer with over 20 years of experience in feature and television animation. Over the course of his career, Alex has been a creative leader on a wide range of animated projects for studios including Disney, Marvel, Warner Bros, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Sony Animation.

As the Creative Director for Gaumont USA, he oversaw both animation and live action series. He was instrumental in developing Paul McCartney’s HIGH IN THE CLOUDS, an animated feature for Netflix and won a Peabody award for the Apple TV+ preschool series Stillwater. He also collaborated with filmmakers like Taika Waititi and Louis Leterrier on upcoming projects for Netflix, Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime Video.
