The firm was established in 2000 by George R Roberts, Jim Breyer, Paul Hazen, Rob Palumbo, and Tom Barnds. Accel KKR was originally a partnership between Accel Partners and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, although now it is no longer associated with either of them.
