Able Innovations’ mission is to develop innovative, robotic technologies that protect front-line staff from career-ending injuries and burnout by automating the task of transfers. Currently, between 2-8 staff are required to exert back-breaking effort to transfer a single patient (e.g., bed to stretcher). The problem is especially relevant today, as many facilities battle short-staffing and burnout. Able’s ALTA Platform™, solves the repetitive and painful task of lateral supine patient transfers (e.g., moving patients from beds to stretchers, imaging tables, etc.) by allowing staff to conduct effortless, contactless transfers using a single caregiver.
