VividQ is a United Kingdom-based company with a specialty in developing technology to produce holography. It has created a platform that can generate a hologram in augmented reality and virtual reality headsets, smart glasses, automotive head-up displays, and other consumer electronics.
The company has created a software development kit (SDK) that can be purchased for commercial and consumer purposes. Its software search engine is called "Core" and is in the SDK. For consumers, it can be integrated into head mounted displays and provides natural depth of field, unlimited resolution, and is adjustable. The head-up displays are used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and transport. The SDK can miniaturize optics and incorporate full 3D images into the environment. Future plans for the technology include the use of it on mass transit.
VividQ has three rounds of funding, totaling more than £6.2 million. Investors include University of Tokyo Edge Capital,
Fluxunit, and Suir Valley Venture.
