UTokyo Innovation Platform

UTokyo Innovation Platform (UTokyo IPC) is the incubator and venture capital arm of the University of Tokyo. It has been in operations since 2016 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Its incubation program is not limited to University of Tokyo's students, alumni, and faculty member - it is also open to the general public. However, it is expected that with participation in the program, an affiliation to University of Tokyo with the company participating is established. As a venture capital, UTokyo IPC prefers to fund companies in the healthcare and commercial products industries. As of November 2019, UTokyo IPC has invested in 14 companies.
