In April 2017, Two Pore Guys closed their Series A round with a total of $24.5 million. The round was led by Khosla Ventures.

Two Pore Guys, Inc., the leader in silicon-based nanopore diagnostics, has rebranded as Ontera Inc. to reflect its broader mission of providing better biological information for a healthier planet. As part of these changes, the company has appointed two seasoned executives to its management team: Murielle Thinard-McLane as Chief Executive Officer and Andrea Chow, Ph.D., as Senior Vice President of Engineering. The company also announced that its lead investor, Khosla Ventures, has exercised its final warrant.
