Edward Bridge Danson III, known as Ted Danson, was born on December 29, 1947, in San Diego. He holds United States citizenship. Danson studied at Kent School, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree, and attended Carnegie Mellon University and Stanford University.
Danson's career spans various genres, including action films, comedy, crime dramas, dramas, adventure films, and black comedies. Since his first release in 1975, he has worked as an actor, television producer, film producer, and director. His directorial credits include The Doctors, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Women's Room, Laverne & Shirley (season 3), Benson, and Tucker's Witch. Some of his notable works are The Onion Field, Body Heat, Just Between Friends, Big Miracle, Creepshow, Little Treasure, A Fine Mess, The One I Love, The Human Contract, and Jock the Hero Dog.
