Southern Oregon University

Southern Oregon University (SOU) is a public educational institution located in Ashland, Oregon, United States. It was founded on January 1, 1872, and is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, and the National Athletic Association. As an organization, SOU primarily operates in the education, higher education, and university industries.

SOU has several accreditations, including the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, National Association of Schools of Music, Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs, and the American Chemical Society.
